Cannabis 101

The term Flower is used to specify bud in the cannabis industry. To use flower the first step is to make sure you have a way to smoke it, a pipe or a bong are both good options.

Next you will take your bud and pull apart a small amount to load into your piece.

Once your piece is loaded the way you want you then light your bowl and take your hit. Flower takes an immediate effect so just start out with one hit and see how that makes you feel and you can always ‘dose’ more.

Dabs, Oil, Wax, and Shatter are all highly concentrated extracts from flower. This is a product for people who have a high tolerance and are looking for an immediate effect. This is a lot like flower, you just need a different type of piece referred to as a banger or nail. You will also need a torch, tool, and cap. You will use your torch to heat up your nail until it looks hot, then let your nail sit for 45 seconds to 1 minute.

While your nail is cooling down you want to use your tool to load up a ‘dab’ of concentrate. After the nail has cooled enough you then put your dab into the nail, once it has all melted off you then cap it all while inhaling.

You will then want to swab your nail with a Q Tip to keep your nail clean.

Edibles! They can be kind of tricky with each person. Depending on your body chemistry and tolerance to cannabis in edible forms will determine a ‘serving size’ for you. All edibles come with a recommended serving size, which is good to start with. Edibles can take 45 minutes up to 2 hours to take effect, which is why it is recommended to start slow and go slow. Taking too many edibles too soon can result in an unpleasant experience. If you find yourself in this situation, the best medicine is to stay hydrated and sleep it off. Edibles come in SO many different forms starting with Candies, Chocolates, Syrups, Baked Goods, Savory Snacks, etc.
There are many ways to use CBD products depending on what it is you are looking for. For inhalation options there is flower and or oil/cartridges that are high in CBD, 1:1, and even 3:1. Cartridges are very convenient and discrete and easy to use. Most popular product in CBD options would be a Tincture; tinctures are used for more internal pain/discomfort. Depending on which one you are using the dosages and milligrams can vary. Some might have you just use a few drops and others might recomend a full milliliter. Topicals are the next best to Tinctures; they are used more for targeting specific areas of pain. Just as tinctures, you can find topicals that vary in milligrams and the doses are a more use as needed. You can also find edibles that are all CBD with zero THC and a good amount of edibles that offer 1:1 ratios as well.

Frequently Asked Questions

While we make every effort to keep our FAQ’s up to date, please refer to What’s Legal and the Oregon Liquor Control Commission for the most up to date information.
Can I use out-of-state ID?

Yes! Any valid government issued ID with your name, date of birth, expiration date, and picture is accepted.

How much can I buy?

The legal limit per person per day is 56 grams (2 ounces) of flower, a pound and half net weight for edibles, 10 grams of non-flavored Extracts, and 10 grams of combined inhalables ( flavored carts, flavored dabs).

What is the difference between a hydrocarbon extract and a solventless extract?
A hydrocarbon extract is extracting cannabis with N-Tane which is a solvent (Chemical) when winterized and purged properly it becomes dabbable.

Solventless is an extract performed by using ice and water or low heat and pressure. It does not need to be winterized or purged to be able to smoke or dab.

What is the difference between THC and CBD?
THC, also known as Tetrahydrocannabinol is what causes psychoactive effects, what gets you ‘high’.

CBD, also know as cannabidiol is used to treat things like inflammation, insomnia, and chronic pain but does not cause any psychoactive effects.

Do topicals show up on a drug test? Will it get me 'high'?
No, they do not get you high and they do not show up on a drug test. Topicals remain on the skin and do not enter the blood stream.
